International Probate Estate

When a foreign person living abroad passes away overseas and leaves no will, trust or a testament for International assets -or when that deceased person dies in another country other than where he resides- it becomes necessary to file an international intestate-succession in order to probate that deceased person’s estate. InheritEstate can assist with Foreign Estate and Probates in countries such as Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, etc.

Testamentary Inheritance Abroad / Overseas

When a decedent dies leaving a will, a trust or a formal testament in countries such as Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela the rules to follow their inheritance will be different from a non testamentary estate as long as the deceased person has not contradicted any general rules of a jurisdiction’s Inheritance laws. This requires a federal judge confirming whether this testamentary document is valid and enforceable internationally. Call InheritEstate to speak with a probate/estate attorney.

International Probate, Estate and Succession Litigation

Estate Litigation can be nerve-wracking while also consuming the heir’s funds and precious time. This said and even though attorneys collect high fees if litigation were to take place in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba. InheritEstate always recommends this stage to be an absolute last recourse. Mediation and “out of court settlements as well as negotiation” are always InheritEstate’s usual course of action.
